Description

Poly Bandicoot Bumpa Berry Jam was a low poly Crash Bandicoot fan game that was made in 2 weeks as a personal challenge to push myself to learn 3D game development,
and was released in summer 2023.
The gameplay revolved around running around the Bumpa Island collecting enough Bumpa berries to deliver to a ship and win the game. The game also contained multiple gems placed behind platforming challenges and hidden positions, as well as a crate counter, for 100% completion.

Despite the push it provided for sticking with doing 3D, I ended up removing the game due to just not being happy with its quality a few years after the release. The physics and controls were painful to play with, the models were painful to work with and overall the gameplay loop didn't feel that enjoyable. If I were to ever rerelease the game, I'd probably do it alongside a remake that closer matches the quality I can produce now and that I originally had in mind for the game when I was still a total beginner in 3D.
